Giving Beyond Living
Many have included Wesley United Methodist Church in their will so that their support for the work of Christ in this congregation may continue beyond their own lifetime. You may leave a charitable gift of any size to the church at the time of your death. You may also consider naming the church as a beneficiary in your will or living trust. The gift could be a set dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, the remainder after other gifts are made, or part of the estate left if your designated heirs are deceased. You may also want to name Wesley UMC as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
A sizeable gift can be used to establish a legacy that carries on your giving spirit after you are gone, and creating a permanent endowment could allow your life’s ministry to reach far into the future. For more information and to discuss opportunities for you to include your church and your favorite ministries in your will, contact Randy Lovell, Wills & Memorials Chair (920-589-5136).
Gifts of Stock and other assets
The Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation can help you donate to Wesley UMC by processing your gift of stock, securities, or mutual fund shares for no selling fee or commission, whether you hold the stock electronically with a broker or in certificate form.
The WUMF can also help you give by donating real estate, making a deferred gift from an IRA or other retirement plan, or a direct gift from a Traditional or Roth IRA. You can also talk to the Foundation about setting up a Charitable Remainder Unitrust, Charitable Gift Annuity, or a Permanent Endowment fund.
