This year marks Harbor House Crisis Shelters 18th year of providing homeless services in the Twin Ports. We celebrate the continued growth of our organizations. We have provided emergency shelter, case management, adult and children’s life skill training, resources and referrals, and daily living assistance to over 6,400 people. Additionally, in our Transitional Living Center, we have provided housing, case management, and life skills to 740 people. These services are made possible by our corporate work together—through financial donations, volunteers, donation drives, and/or our champions for the cause of homelessness. Thank you
We are busy with our many projects, including the renovation of the five-unit apartment building we purchased last year. The Permanent Supportive Housing Project promises to be a much-needed addition for chronically homeless families and single women in our community.
A mom in our emergency shelter greeted me last week, “We have been approved for housing! We are so grateful to you for providing what we needed. You saved our family.”
This story reminds me, and I hope, you too, that what we do together makes a real difference in the lives of people in crisis.
Thank you for your support!
